I'm a writer at heart, so this is one of the places I write. It's where I store my ideas, observations, interests. This is my personal reflective journal on a range of topics. I'm told journaling is good for the soul. I hope so. And since there's nothing quite as powerful as an idea, maybe a few of those will manifest themselves in my writing. Thank you for reading and always feel free to post a comment.

One Shining Moment
One of my all-time favorite songs is "One Shining Moment"--played or sung every year after the NCAA men's basketball national championship game.
What a game we all witnessed tonight, with the Butler University Bulldogs giving the mighty Duke University Blue Devils all they could handle.
In the end, Duke prevailed--by two points.
But again, what a game!
And what a job Jennifer Hudson did with her rendition of "One Shining Moment." (That's Jennifer's picture with this blog post.)
Turn up your sound and click here to enjoy the song. (Or, if you want to see Jennifer sing against the backdrop of the action, click here.)

NCAA basketball is about the players and Luther's voice not a music video about someone. CBS and Jen's agent should both made terrible judgement calls on this one!! Did Jen score a winning basket that I missed or make a great block or save???? Didn't anyone ever hear the phrase ...... Don't fix whats not broken!!!
So noted, Timothy. I still think she has a great voice and did well with the song.
