I'm a writer at heart, so this is one of the places I write. It's where I store my ideas, observations, interests. This is my personal reflective journal on a range of topics. I'm told journaling is good for the soul. I hope so. And since there's nothing quite as powerful as an idea, maybe a few of those will manifest themselves in my writing. Thank you for reading and always feel free to post a comment.

Remember that ghost baseball player?
Remember that mid or late 1980s movie "Field of Dreams"?
Remember baseball great Shoeless Joe Jackson, from South Carolina, walking out of a corn field and promising the owner of an Iowa farm: "If you build it, they will come"?
Was Shoeless Joe Jackson, with a lifetime batting average in the majors of .357, one of the biggest liars in history?
Or was he not guilty of throwing the 1919 World Series?
If not guilty, should newspapers of today help restore his reputation?
I've written about him at the above link.

I vote to remove "Shoeless" Joe's name from the ineligible list. After reading your article and exploring a little, I have become one of "Shoeless" Joe's admirers and want to see him included among the greatest in the Hall of Fame. He did it without steroids. I hope the movement to restore his good name is successful.
Yes, I agree, and let's hope he finally he is honored (which is long, long overdue.)
Thanks for reading and commenting on a baseball legend.
