Citizen journalism going strong in Greensboro

Citizen journalism is controversial but it's still very much alive. To that end, I ran across an interesting blog post by Greensboro News-Record editor John Robinson about something called "Cop Watch" in Guiliford County, N.C.

Watch the above video and let me know what you think. Is citizen journalism here to stay? An interesting but fleeting curiosity?

I think citizen journalism is here to stay. Mainstream media will continue to learn how to co-exist with citizen journalists. Seems that cops could have easily subdued scrawny offender without using violence or drawing weapon. Not a story for the dailies, but good evidence for a documentary. Also good for a training video or for evidence to reprimand arresting officers.

I like your idea of the training video for police.

Good thinking.
